Overview

Expectations- Establishes department short- and long-term strategy and annual budget to accomplished objectives in support of plant goals and cascades directives to subordinates and supporting staff.  Leads by example to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale (SQDCM) initiatives.  Embraces and promotes company core values to establish and maintain a culture committed to ethical practices, legal compliance, and a union-free environment.  Leads efforts in developing self and others to ensure that a knowledgeable and skilled workforce is prepared to overcome current and future challenges. 

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Experience: 10+ years

Managerial Experience: 8+ years

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required, MBA desired

Degree Field: Engineering or related field

Equivalent Experience/Education: 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing/automotive field

Communication Skills: Advanced

Foreign Language Required: No.  If yes, what language? N/A

Foreign Language Skill Level: N/A

Mathematical Skills: Advanced

 

Certified/Technical Skills

  • ASQ Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent.

 

Additional/Other Requirements

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Intermediate Statistic Skills
  • Modern Quality Principles and Applications Experience
  • TS 16949 Management Experience

Responsibilities

Role(s) - Supports the Quality Control Team through managing and leading subordinates, coordinating quality improvements, analyzing data and reporting.

 

  • Oversee all aspects of Quality Control Management, including Supplier, Internal Process and Customer Concerns.
  • Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
  • Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, Cause analysis, Error Proofing, and implementing short-term/long-term Corrective Actions.
  • Champion a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high performing Quality Control team that meets KPIs, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
  • Analyze, review, and generate Reports for KAGA related Quality claims.
  • Generate Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports to MOBIS Senior Management
  • Analyze defects trends and implement Process/Supplier improvement plans to eliminate repeat defects.
  • Understand the Customer Assembly Processes related to MOBIS Georgia Supplied Product.
  • Practice 5S in the assigned work area. Keep the workstations, tools and gages clean and organized.
  • Lead the Process Quality Team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Lead and participate in cross functional teams to solve Quality problems.
  • Manage and Monitor Supplier Quality Status. Drive Improvement at Supplier Level.
  • Present Quality Improvement plans and countermeasures to MOBIS and KMMG senior management.
  • Responsible for Planning, Managing and Conducting internal and external Audits.
  • Direct and verify Daily/Periodic Internal Audits are performed and meets expectation (TQ, Gage R&R, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
