Role(s) - Supports the Logistics Team through maintaining department documentation, ensuring legal requirements are met, and developing risk management and safety programs to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities-                                                                               

    • Create and maintain a positive working environment that supports having a union-free workplace.

    • Ability to manage salaried and hourly team members with a “hands on” approach.
    • Assure that all work is performed within specifications.
    • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistic systems, imports, exports, and customer issues.
    • Collaborates with other departments to integrate Logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and production.
    • Maintain metrics, reports, process documentations, customer service logs, training, and safety records.
    • Direct inbound logistics operations, such as transportation, warehouse activities, safety performance and logistics quality management.
    • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
    • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes.
    • Maintain safety procedures including assisting with incident investigation, reviewing reports, and advising corrective action.
    • Ensure C-TPAT requirements are met at all locations within Logistics.
    • Ensure all OSHA requirements are met regarding PIV.
    • Ensure all processes and procedures regarding ASN’s are being followed.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Experience: 3-5 years

Managerial Experience: 3-5 years   

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)

Degree Field: Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Equivalent Experience/Education: 5+ years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment

Communication Skills: Intermediate

Foreign Language Required: No.  If yes, what language? N/A

Foreign Language Skill Level: N/A

Mathematical Skills: Intermediate

 

Certified/Technical Skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain PIV license

 

Additional/Other Requirements

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office Product
