Responsibilities

Expectations: To accomplish day-to-day tactical objectives in support of company and department goals.  Leads by example to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale (SQDCM) initiatives. Embraces and promotes company core values to establish and maintain a culture committed to ethical practices, legal compliance, and a union-free environment.  Leads efforts in developing self and others to ensure that a knowledgeable and skilled workforce is prepared to overcome current and future challenges. 

 

Role: Supports the HR Team to act as payroll processing backup, Time Administrator, conduct research and analysis of various topics as assigned, maintain records, and provide administrative support to superiors.

 

  • Maintains and updates employee records in HRIS (SAP) system.
  • Assists with month-end processes such as the preparation and reconciliation of payroll tax and labor reports.
  • Assists with year-end processes such as annual payroll tax and payment summary reconciliations.
  • Responsible for adjustments, corrections, and employee transfer verification in the Time and Attendance System.
  • Maintains accurate Time and Attendance Master List.
  • Coordinates, maintains, and generates Human Resources related files and records.
  • Researches and analyzes employment data and prepares professional reports and proposals for local and headquarters’ use. (I.e., manpower, labor costs, employee demographics, industry trends, etc.)
  • Analyzes financial and operational information to identify trends and recommends solutions or improvements.
  • Assists in the evaluation of HRIS (SAP) capabilities and collaborates with superiors, IT and Finance to propose improvements and identify potential threats to data integrity and security.
  • Processes payroll for local Team Members.
  • Assists with year-end reporting under direct supervision.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience 

Education: High School Diploma/GED required, AA/AS or Bachelors Degree preferred

Degree Field: Human Resources Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field

Equivalent Experience/Education: May be entry level for recent college graduate; Experience in compensation, payroll, or HR data analysis preferred.

 

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Foreign Language Required: No.  If yes, what language? N/A

Foreign Language Skill Level: N/A

Mathematical: Intermediate

 

Certified/Technical Skills:

  • PHR Certification preferred

Additional/Other:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, data entry accuracy, and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Excel and MS Word software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to manage assigned projects from conceptualization to implementation
