Summary

Supports the HR team in sourcing and finding talent for open positions. The HR Specialist will communicate with hiring managers to discuss talent needs and necessary requirements, as well as communicate with candidates and new hires to ensure a smooth hiring transition. The Specialist will also stay on top of employment trends and bring fresh, new ideas for recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision of HR Manager, is responsible for all hourly recruitment, sourcing partners, and staffing policies and procedures to ensure effective utilization of recruitment budget and meet time-to-fill objectives.
  • Confers with hiring managers to confirm open headcount and conduct staffing intake meeting to determine recruitment strategy for each position.
  • Prepares and posts job announcements with internal and external sources and participates in job fairs to promote employment opportunities with MOBIS Georgia.
  • Coordinates, reviews, and maintains records related to processing of post-offer, pre-employment background check(s) and education validation.
  • Coordinates and with various staffing agencies and internal department management to develop a talent pipeline of acceptable employment candidates through the management of a temp-to-perm program that assesses reliability, skill level, and compliance with policies.
  • Reviews approved open hourly headcount and collaborates with related departments for evaluation and on-boarding of temporary associates.
  • Reconciles hours and invoicing reports for accurate and timely payment to temporary staffing agencies.
  • Coordinates and assists in New Hire Orientation.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with various schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to promote career opportunities with MOBIS Georgia.
  • Manages applicants in Applicant Tracking System.
  • Provides weekly candidate reporting to include applicants contacted and results.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in Recruiting or HR manufacturing setting, preferred

Education: High School Diploma/GED required, AA/AS or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Degree Field: Human Resources Management or related field

Equivalent Experience/Education: 5+ years related human resources experience with a concentration in recruiting.

Communication Skills: Advanced

Foreign Language Required: No.  If yes, what language? N/A

Foreign Language Skill Level: N/A

Mathematical: Intermediate

 

Certified/Technical Skills:

  • PHR Certification preferred
  • Recruitment, Interviewing

 

Additional/Other:

 

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products; Advanced Excel skills required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, data entry accuracy, and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Excel and MS Word software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage assigned projects from conceptualization to implementation
  • Knowledge of legally defensible employment processes
